Left as is, the wood will naturally weather to a soft gray in UV exposure—adding to its character—or you can easily apply additional stain right over the surface to maintain a richer tone. A simple, natural material that ages gracefully and complements the structure beneath it.

Convenient and Customizable 

Each hemlock panel is pre-treated with a linseed oil–based primer that offers natural water resistance and a warm, finished look. 

Over time, the panels will naturally weather to a soft gray, especially in sunny spots, adding character to your roof. To keep the original color—or give it a new look—you can easily apply a water-based stain-and-seal over the primer. Just coat the boards with your favorite stain for a finish that’s all your own.
